What does this do?
This treatment involves the injection of small veins with a sclerosing solution which will collapse the spider vein and make it disappear.
How does it work?
The sclerosing solution is designed to create an inflammation of the vein wall, which then causes the vein to collapse, seal and scar causing the obliteration of the vein. The effects are not harmful to the body's circulation. The effects of the treatment may occasionally appear to be quite prompt. However some results may require weeks or months to be fully realized. In fact, the treated veins may appear worse immediately following the treatment as the effects of the sclerosing treatment work on collapsing the vein. This is to be expected. Even with optimal results, spider veins may reappear with time, and you may develop new spider veins. This is a very individualized process. Treatment of spider veins is a healthcare process that needs to be properly maintained for optimal health and prevention of much larger problems.
Session Information
Sessions are approximately 30 minutes
Approximately 3-5 sessions are recommended
Sessions should be spaced about a two weeks apart
Down Time
There will be a slight reddening and swelling of the skin following the treatment. But, most patients do not experience any downtime whatsoever.
